Een zeldzaam en intiem concert – uniek in Nederland
De Argentijnse bandoneonist en componist Matías Gobbo (1984, Mar del Plata) komt voor een korte tour van slechts drie dagen naar ons land. Tijdens deze unieke gelegenheid brengt hij in het Plein Theater een soloprogramma met eigen composities en bewerkingen, speciaal geschreven voor de bandoneon.
Matías groeide op in een huis vol muziek – van folklore en rock tot klassieke werken. Zijn passie voor de bandoneon begon toen hij als tiener Astor Piazzolla ontdekte. Sindsdien ontwikkelde hij zich tot een veelzijdig en eigenzinnig musicus, met een geheel eigen geluid.
Zijn spel laat de bandoneon in al zijn facetten horen: intiem en krachtig, lyrisch en ritmisch. Hij combineert invloeden uit de Argentijnse tango en folklore met zijn liefde voor componisten als Bach, en daarbij zoekt hij steeds naar persoonlijke en oprechte expressie. Muziek met een enorme zeggingskracht.
Met zijn eerste optreden op Nederlandse bodem is dit een bijzondere kans om deze Argentijnse bandoneonist live te horen spelen – een bijzondere musicus die traditie en vernieuwing op natuurlijke wijze met elkaar verbindt.

Matías grew up in a home filled with music – from folklore and rock to classical works. His passion for the bandoneon began in his teenage years when he discovered Astor Piazzolla. Since then, he has developed into a versatile and distinctive musician with a unique voice.
His playing reveals the full range of the bandoneon: intimate and powerful, lyrical and rhythmic. He blends influences from Argentine tango and folklore with his love of composers such as Bach, always searching for personal and sincere expression. Music with profound emotional resonance.
