Ana Palomo ‘Guío’
“The Painted Time”
Why “The Painted Time”? We are overwhelmed by memories — a kind word, a glance, a scent, a few disconnected chords, a smile, a kiss — everything remains stored, almost hidden.
This collection brought to us by Ana “Guío” is a seeker in the drawer of our memory, connecting the joyful past with the present.
“The Painted Time” is a reminder of life’s transience and the quiet beauty that lies in simplicity. Through this exhibition, the viewer is invited to contemplate, reflect, and celebrate the richness of the human experience.
“The Painted Time” is a collection of oil paintings that capture the subtle essence of time through the lens of hyperrealism; they are like open windows that emotionally connect us with our past.
From the simplest objects to the most elaborate, each work bears the traces of time. The marks of time become visible in every detail: the cracks in a Talavera jug, the patina on an old radio, the wrinkles in a humble piece of well-worn paper, or the worn-out playing cards from our after-dinner moments.
As we explore this collection, we become witnesses to the fleeting beauty of the everyday. Each painting invites us to reflect on our own journey, accompanied by these silent witnesses.
