📽️ A screening honouring Julian’s memory 🖤 Julian’s archive screening + fundraising mini market

We would love to invite you to join us for a night in loving memory of our dear volunteer Julian who sadly passed away last summer. Julian has volunteered at Filmhuis Cavia for over five years and has contributed generously to our community, and we love him dearly.  
 
Julian left behind a small archive of photographic slides, analogue films made by himself and collected, as well as various materials for working with photography, strange tools, power adaptors, books, lamps and other things. During the screening night these objects are available for sale on a small mini-market, with all the proceedings going to Julian’s family.  
 
We will also use this opportunity to screen Julian’s films in the cinema. The films will be projected in our cinema space alongside his photographic slides. This archive contains beautiful still and moving images from different parts of Julian’s life: Dadaist self-portraits, Amsterdam streetscapes, strange arrangements of objects and portraits of his friends. We hope to meet you and celebrate Julian together! All donations will go to his family.
