4bid has launched a brand new sound-art system, consisting of a 12-speaker surround sound installation inaugurated as a resident system at 4bid gallery from 2023.

Thanks to our collaborator daz disley (UK), designer of the software “SOUND SQUARES” that enables the use of this system, we are able to offer this exciting novelty at 4bid gallery.

Since 2023 we organize regular events that put this system to a test and explore its potentiality in our spaces. The events are called 4bidden SOUNDS 4bidden SPACES

About the artists:
Sequences is “in-the-game” since 2009 and still as active as ever. In 2025 he has released an album about his travels in Mexico and one about his interest in psychogeography.
His music blends tape hiss, field recordings and drone orchestration within modular synthesis.
Despite drawing from a wide range of influences; literature, urban exploration, film & photography his sound is deeply rooted in personal experience and weaves all of this together in a coherent tapestry.

Ilya Ziblat Shay is a composer, performer, and researcher, working in experimental music. His practice explores the live interplay between musicians and interactive electronics. Using an ever-evolving set of digital tools allows him to shape sounds, as well as to investigate what it means to listen with and to technology. Language, speech, and other sampled audio provide material for digital processing, allowing him to explore contemporary realities with a critical ear. In parallel, he works with notation – mostly open and improvisational scores – and plays bass.

Sara is an artist-researcher based in Amsterdam working with biological processes as speculative methodologies, and currently collaborating with Zoe, an immortal jellyfish (Turritopsis dohrnii). In her multidisciplinary practice, sound, noise, and site-specific recordings engage time and discomfort as operative conditions within natural and synthetic systems. Deep listening becomes a relational act and a transformative protocol.
