35 Jaar DJ Isis
Once every five years, Isis van der Wel goes all out at Paradiso. On Saturday, May 1st, we will celebrate a rare milestone in Dutch club culture: her 35th anniversary as DJ Isis.
For six hours, Isis takes full control. From 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM, she will draw you into a sizzling solo set, brought to life on stage by her favorite performance artists. As for the music? Expect an immersive, multi-layered journey through 35 years of club culture in Amsterdam: a sound that moves effortlessly from raw 90s rave gems and the pioneering house of the legendary Roxy to the deep, driving grooves of Detroit techno. From hypnotic minimal to exuberant maximal and everything in between, it’s all seamlessly woven together with organic sounds and a delightful dose of psychedelic, artistic flair.
There are no mere spectators tonight; everyone contributes to the magic. We are celebrating spring and Beltane, the Celtic festival of fire, fertility, and the triumph of light.
