ntitled Abolish the Human\,\nArt & Spatial Praxis invites research collabo
rators and the ARIAS network to\nimagine more equitable\, communal\, queer
\, and subversive ways of being and of\ninhabiting our urban environments.
Drawing on the work of Jamaican writer and\nphilosopher Sylvia Wynter\, t
hese weaving stories sessions focus on her concept\nof the plot as a histo
rical material space\, a narrative technology\, and an\nanti-hegemonic pra
ctice of being human. Each session will introduce key aspects\nof Wynter’s
thinking and feature an activation led by an invited guest\ncollaborator.
In this second session\, we ask: What might a city without property\nlook
like? What would it mean to rethink\, rather than reform\, housing? How w
ould\nrelations between people\, labour\, and land change if rent and the
appropriation\nof housing were abolished? What forms of organisation could
replace landlordism\,\nhousing as a commodity\, and a speculative housing
