SUMMARY:🎬 VHS Archive Jam Session 📼
DTSTAMP:20260509T173737Z
DTSTART:20260516T140000Z
DESCRIPTION:Over the past twenty years\, Cavia has built up a wonderfully c
	haotic VHS\narchive: festival submissions\, homemade tape compilations\, e
	xperimental films\,\ncommercial releases\, underground oddities\, and even
some adult titles\, all\nsitting side by side on the shelves. Together th
ey show how VHS not only brought\ncinema into living rooms\, but also made
it possible for low-budget and far-flung\nproductions to travel\, circula
te\, and find audiences outside official circuits.\n\nThis event is an exp
eriment in bringing that archive back to life. Instead of a\nfixed program
	\, the afternoon begins with a 40-minute collective exploration\nsession.
The audience is invited to climb the archive ladder and explore the\nshelv
	es\, selecting tapes that catch their attention through a title\, a cover\
, or\nsheer curiosity. In small groups\, participants can then watch their
chosen tapes\nusing one of the many TVs with VHS players installed throug
hout the space.\nTogether\, we decide which tape fragments should make it
onto the big screen. The\nsession evolves into a “jam session” screening s
haped in real time by the people\nin the cinema room.
