SUMMARY:🎬 VHS Archive Jam Session 📼
DTSTAMP:20260522T194124Z
DTSTART:20260606T140000Z
DESCRIPTION:Over the past forty years\, Cavia has built up a wonderfully ch
aotic VHS archive:\nfestival submissions\, homemade tape compilations\, ex
	perimental films\, commercial\nreleases\, underground oddities\, and even
some adult titles\, all sitting side by\nside on the shelves. Together the
y show how VHS not only brought cinema into\nliving rooms\, but also made
	it possible for low-budget and far-flung productions\nto travel\, circulat
e\, and find audiences outside official circuits.\n\nThis event is an expe
riment in bringing that archive back to life. Instead of a\nfixed program\
, the afternoon begins with a one-hour collective exploration\nsession. Th
e audience is invited to climb the archive ladder and explore the\nshelves
	\, selecting tapes that catch their attention through a title\, a cover\,
or\nsheer curiosity. In small groups\, participants can then watch their c
hosen tapes\nusing one of the many TVs with VHS players installed througho
ut the space.\nTogether\, we decide which tape fragments should make it on
to the big screen. The\nsession evolves into a “jam session” screening sha
ped in real time by the people\nin the cinema room.\n
