DESCRIPTION:Amsterdam cult band\n\nTrio Bier is an Amsterdam cult band. The
	y have survived a name change\, a hiatus\,\ntours through Yemen and Greece
	\, and a pandemic.\n\nTrio Bier embodies: Dutch-language songs\, an urban
spirit with a tender heart\,\nand a longing for a bold life. It is pop mus
ic featuring sax and accordion\;\ntangos\, waltzes\, polkas\, and American
a\, led by the crooning all-rounder Jan\nEilander. It all started quite hu
mbly: on the streets of Antwerp. They played\nuntil their hat held enough
money for a round of beers\, performing songs by\nothers\; especially sent
imental Dutch ballads (smartlappen). After a night at\nParadiso\, the grou
p decided to start creating their own music. By the next day\,\nthey had w
ritten three original songs. The songs kept coming\, eventually\nresulting
in a total of six albums.\n\nAlthough the band enjoys touring the provinc
es\, their greatest successes have\nbeen celebrated in the capital at venu
es such as Paradiso\, Melkweg\, and Kleine\nKomedie. The daily newspaper H
et Parool named the Trio Bier classic 'Amsterdam\,\nOude Wolf' the unoffic
ial anthem of Amsterdam\, a distinction that led to a\nperformance at the
prestigious Carré theatre. For three years\, the band\norganized club nigh
ts at KHL and Melkweg\; these events gave young talent a\nchance to perfor
	m alongside the band\, while writers\, poets\, and fellow musicians\n(such
as The Lau\, Raggende Manne\, and Huub van der Lubbe) dropped by to\ncont
ribute.\n\nDuring the coronavirus pandemic\, they performed almost weekly.
	 They played in\nsmall lineups\, unplugged\, on the street\, beneath the b
alcony of a retirement\nhome\, on the scaffolding outside the lead singer'
s house\, and in venues with a\nmaximum audience of thirty. But now that r
estrictions have lifted\, they are back\nto touring the country at full st
rength. So\, on November 11th\, they will be at\nParadiso. No candy\, but
	songs!\n\nTrio Bier is:\n\nJan Eilander\nRini Dobbelaar\nCor van de Berg\n
	Roelf ter Veld\nPaul Schothorst\nKoos Prins
