DESCRIPTION:Genre: Film\, Live Concert\nLine up: Serena\, Slowblink\nOpen:
	19:00 - 23:00 hrs\nTickets: € 8\n\nFourth episode of Trendy Tropics\, the
series of films that confronts a simple\nparadox: Europe loves to talk abo
ut the Global South but rarely listens to it.\nSocial media feeds overflow
with opinions\, outrage\, and trending solidarities.\nYet behind these ci
	rculating images\, real lives remain abstract\, distant\, almost\nfictiona
	l. We want to reverse the gaze. Films from Africa\, Latin America and\nAsi
a speak back not as case studies\, not as moral lessons\, but as lived\nre
alities\, contradictions and all that comes with it. Ventilator wants to i
nvite\naudiences to step beyond the comfort of "awareness" and into the un
settling\nspace of genuine encounter. With screenings\, live music\, share
d food\, and an\nopen space for confrontation\, Trendy Tropics merges art
and activism not to make\nus feel better about the world\, but to see it m
ore clearly.\nWe will screen a dreamlike story about belonging\, about who
gets a place and who\ngets pushed out of it\, and about what happens when
we stop looking away.\nSlowblink will perform the soundtrack of the film
live\, so that image and sound\nhappen together\, in the room\, for one ni
ght only. Serena will DJ at the bar\nbefore and after the event.\n\n19.00
Doors open\n20.00 Screening with live soundtrack by Slowblink\n\nFood by S
ofian\, and caipirinhas available at the venue.
