	his evening presents the work of three contemporary Palestinian playwright
	s:\nDalia Taha\, Bashar Murkus and Rimah Jabr. Their work reflects the ric
	hness and\nvariety of Palestinian theater\, as well as the reality and the
	 experience of\nlife in occupied Palestine\, through Palestinian eyes. A t
	heater of resistance\,\nand a showcase of the resilience of Palestinian cu
	lture.\n\nRasha Hilwi introduces the evening through her unique story-tell
	ing\, and then\nthe plays by Dalia Taha\, Bashar Murkus and Rimah Jabr are
	 shown\, interpreted by\nMoos Wilhelm and Betül Şefika. The evening is in 
	Arabic\, Dutch and English and\nwill be made accessible in all three langu
	ages.\n\nAbout the artists\n\nRasha Hilwi is a Palestinian writer\, journa
	list\, editor\, storyteller\, cultural\ncurator\, and DJ. Born in Akka and
	 living in Amsterdam\, she explores the\nquestions and narratives surround
	ing “Home بيت” and “Ghorbah غربة” in her\nwriting and performances\, and t
	heir intersections with motherhood\, personal\nnarratives\, memories\, his
	tory\, and identity.\n\nDalia Taha is a poet\, playwright\, and lecturer w
	ith a Master of Fine Arts in\nplaywriting from Brown University. She was a
	 longtime editor of the magazine\n“Yaraat” and has published three poetry 
	collections\, a novel\, and a children’s\npoetry collection. Her first pla
	y\, Keffiyeh/Made in China\, premiered in Brussels\nbefore touring seven P
	alestinian cities in the West Bank. Her poetry collection\,\nEnter World\,
	 is being published in English by Graywolf Press.\n\nBashar Murkus is a pl
	aywright and theater director. As artistic director of the\nindependent Kh
	ashabi Theatre\, he and his artistic teams create work that\nbalances betw
	een “writing for the stage” and “writing on the stage.” His oeuvre\ninclud
	es acclaimed productions such as Parallel Time (2014)\, Other Places\n(201
	7)\, The Museum (2019)\, and Milk (2022).\n\nRimah Jabr is a theatre direc
	tor\, playwright\, screenwriter\, and PhD candidate in\nTheatre and Perfor
	mance Studies at York University. She has written and directed\nseveral pl
	ays\, which have been performed in Belgium\, Canada\, and Palestine\,\ninc
	luding Ghurba (2025)\, Broken Shapes (2022)\, Raya (2018)\, High Heels & S
	tuffed\nZucchini (2015)\, and Two Ladybugs (2013). She also directed two s

	work\, she primarily explores\nthe meaning of presence and absence in text
	 and image. She participated in a\nwriting residency with deBuren in 2020 
	and\, together with Maarten van de Graaff\,\ncontributed to the project “B
	esmette Stad”.\n\nThis evening is a collaboration with Mint Arts Platform\
	, which\, in collaboration\nwith publisher Bebuquin and with support from 
	Perdu\, among others\, published a\nbook in 2025 featuring texts by Taha\,
	 Murkus\, and Jabr: Palestijns theater:\nhedendaagse teksten. The program
