Tell the Bees
A multidisciplinary worksh op of masks, beats and theatre

This workshop combines several as pects of the performing arts. We start by creating masks that fit our emot ions and our imagination. We learn to wear those masks and we embody our i magination by using beats and rhythms and by creating awareness of our pre sence in the space. We practice the basics of theatre: posture, movement, body in space, games, breathing and voice in many of their expressions.
Our practice is sensorial and originates from ourselves: memories, storie s, sounds of stones and steps, images of repopulated land, reminiscence of touching, smell of seaweed.

In keeping with AstaroTheatro’s gra ssroots dedication to participatory theatre, this workshop integrates with the creative process of the theatre performance “Have The Bees Been Told? ” which AstaroTheatro is developing alongside the workshop.  Hence it offers the opportunity to the workshop participants to become integral pa rt of the performance with their newly created masks, beats and theatrical contents.

It is highly recommended that participants follow all 5 sessions
Attendance at session 1 and 2 is necessary to be able to jo in session 3, 4 and 5
