c of the past\, but a living\nlanguage. Emerging from Chicago’s vibrant mu
sic scene\, he has evolved into a\nmusician who connects tradition to the
future. He has collaborated with a wide\nrange of artists\, from Angel Bat
Dawid to Chance the Rapper\, and is equally at\nhome in jazz\, spoken wor
d\, gospel\, and funk. With his band the Chosen Few\,\nCollier creates lon
g\, narrative compositions that blend together spiritual jazz\,\ncollectiv
e improvisation\, and social themes. His albums are praised for their\nint
ensity and ambition\, and live\, Collier is known for performances that sl
owly\nbuild into almost ritualistic musical experiences. DownBeat magazine
rightly\nnamed him on its 25 for the Future list in 2024. His music follo
ws in the vein\nof the spiritual experiments pioneered by John Coltrane\,
whose music he will\nperform at the festival.\n\nSuper-Sonic Jazz Festival
\nFrom Friday\, November 20 to Sunday\, November 21\, the tenth edition of
the\nSuper-Sonic Jazz Festival will take place at Paradiso. The festival
focuses on\ninnovative artists operating within the broad universe of jazz
. Since its first\nedition in 2017\, the festival has grown into a leading
platform for artists\nworking at the intersection of jazz\, R&B\, soul\,
hip-hop\, and more. Major names\nsuch as Thundercat\, Kokoroko\, Robert Gl
asper\, Steve Lacy\, Yussef Dayes\, and\nHiatus Kaiyote have since graced
the lineup\, most of them even before their\ninternational breakthrough.\n
\nIn addition to the annual festival\, Super-Sonic Jazz organizes various\
nactivities throughout the year: from intimate concerts in collaboration w
