DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, we’ll use sounds\, songs and memories to exp
lore how identity\nshapes our experiences of safety and belonging in the c
ity. Through simple sound\nproduction in Audacity\, each participant will
create a short audio piece based\non their own experiences.\n\nWhen do you
	 feel welcome\, watched\, protected or exposed? What sounds\, memories\nor
moments make you feel that you belong somewhere?\n\nThe workshop is part
	of the co-creation process for Blind Spots\, a participatory\ninstallation
for Dutch Design Week. The project asks what safety in public space\ncoul
d look like beyond surveillance\, control and exclusion\; and what other f
orms\nof care\, belonging and protection might take their place.\n\nWe’re
collecting a wide range of stories and perspectives on what safety can\nme
an. With your consent\, your audio piece may become part of the sonic land
scape\nof Blind Spots.\n\nBlind Spots is being developed by Fairspace\, a
non-profit working towards safer\nand more inclusive public spaces through
	 research\, training and creative\nparticipatory projects.\n\nFree to join
	.\nNo audio experience needed.\nBring a laptop + headphones.\n\nChoose one
