	a\, is a vast network of villages located in the border\nregions between I
	vory Coast\, Burkina Faso and Mali. Among the Bwa\, since the\nolding days
	\, music and stories have been passed down through the ages by\nsucceeding
	 generations of musician-families known as Djeli (griots\, in french)\nmak
	ing a living by playing music and serving the culture as a kind of\ntrans-
	generational memory-vessels for popular tunes dating back a thousand\nyear
	s. \n\nRaised as a Djeli\, music was the main income in the family\, and S
	alome Dembele\nhas been singing professionally since childhood. Through ha
	rd work\, Salome\nclimbed the steep ladder of the music industry in Mali\,
	 released several albums\nof original music and reached a high level of su
	ccess before relocating to\nAmsterdam. \nAs a healthy contrast to his form
	al education in western classical composition\,\nJens Peter Møller has bee
	n on a decade-long quest in pursuit of experience and\nwisdom\, immersing 
	himself deep into the practice of west african music from\nGhana\, Senegal

	 political social center\,\na meeting place in the Transvaal neighborhood
