Run entirely by volu nteers\, we've kept our doors open\nto anyone who needed a space to create \, experiment\, perform\, play chess\, watch\nfilms\, host exhibitions\, p lay retro games and more. \n\nWe never charge visitors\, organizers\, or a rtists. We believe that art\,\nexpression\, experimentation\, and communit y should not come with a price tag. We never char ge visitors, organizers, or artists. We believe that art, expression, expe rimentation, and community should not come with a price tag. By keeping ou r space free and accessible to everyone, we can give room to emerging arti sts, new ideas, and projects that can happen regardless of someone's budge t. 


But right now, we need your help.


Like many i ndependent spaces, our financial reserves went out of the window during co vid. Since then, we've been working month after month to catch up with our expenses. Unfortunately, the bills caught up with us first. Rising energy costs, rent, planned maintenance, and unexpected repairs have left us in the red, putting the renewal of our rental agreement with the Municipality of Amsterdam at risk.


At a time when public life is becoming in creasingly commercialized, we believe it's more important than ever to kee p non-profit cultural spaces alive. Places where both artists and voluntee rs work together on equal footing to provide free access to culture.

We've always believed in the power of the underground and in our gras sroots, Do-It-Yourself approach to organizing. That's why, faced with one of our biggest challenges yet, we're asking you to help us Do-It-Together.
