DESCRIPTION:Artist presents 'Live in Paradiso'\n\nTuesday afternoon\, Novem
ber 24. In the *Bovenzaal* (Upper Hall) of Paradiso.\nRaymond van het Groe
newoud is being interviewed by Gijs Groenteman and is\nperforming a few so
ngs to mark the release of the album 'Live in Paradiso'.\n\nThe world was
just emerging from quarantine\; to celebrate that victory over the\nvirus
in style\, Raymond van het Groenewoud performed in his Amsterdam. And in\n
Paradiso\, no less\, the venue of his boyhood dreams.\n\nThe concert had b
een postponed five times\, but that evening\, it finally\nhappened. And wh
at a night it was. For three hours\, he sang of old flames and\nnew loves.
As always\, with plenty of humor\, the occasional heartfelt cry\, and\nev
en a rare surge of nostalgia\; but always with fire in his fingers and his
\nsoul. He is past seventy\, but a magician never forgets his tricks.\n\nT
he night at Paradiso was given a delightful beat by the band backing him\,
but\nalso by the audience before him: they applauded ever louder and danc
ed ever more\nwildly. "I was immersed in a bath of appreciation and love\,
" Raymond said later\,\n"like nothing I had ever experienced before. It wa
s like a dream from start to\nfinish."\n\nBy his own account\, it was his
best concert ever. And fortunately\, recording\nequipment was running that
night.\n\nNo night lasts forever\, but there is hope: on November 27\, th
e album *Live in\nParadiso* hits the shelves. For anyone wanting to replay
that night\; during\nspecial moments or whenever the mood strikes.\n\nOn
November 24\, around 1:30 PM\, Raymond van het Groenewoud will present the
\nalbum in the Bovenzaal of Paradiso itself. A relaxed Tuesday afternoon.
Gijs\nGroenteman asks questions\, and the master himself performs three so
ngs on the\npiano. Perhaps you’ll be in the audience this time.\n\nSpace i
s limited to 100 people\, so book quickly by sending an email to:\nbarend@
