DESCRIPTION:Interviews with genocide scholars\n\nDe wereld telt ongeveer 50
0 genocide-wetenschappers. Andrea Voets interviewde\nelf van hen het het a
fgelopen jaar\, in aanloop naar de productie People Don’t\nSee Things. Dez
e avond kijken we voor het eerst gezamenlijk naar wat zij de\nwereld te ve
	rtellen hebben. English-only\, enkel interviews\, geen muziek.\n\nGlobally
\, approximately five hundred academics specialise in the study of\ngenoci
de. They create a map that predicts genocides\, reconstruct the emotional\
nlife in concentration camps and bring us concepts like\nperpetrator-victi
	m-cycles\, implicated subjects or post-genocidal societies.\nThese people
study the events that few dare to confront in such detail\, and\nplace the
m within the framework of humanity itself.\n\nIn 2027\, Splendor musician
Andrea Voets and her company Resonate Productions\nwill make the existenti
al dimension of comparative\, global genocide studies\nphysically palpable
\, by creating an evening of electronic music and visuals in\nwhich 11 gen
ocide scholars are the stars of the night. They are present on film\nand s
peak to the highest academic standards: every word they say has been\npeer
-reviewed.\n\nAfter years of preparation\, the edit of their interviews is
now ready. We are\norganising a viewing of these interviews -without musi
c-\, to feel the effect it\nhas on people for the first time in a shared r
oom.\nThe interviews have been conducted and edited by Andrea Voets in her
usual\nstyle: a deep dissection towards the core of their thinking and it
s moral\nimplications for all humans\, without steering to any particular
conclusion.\nThe scholars draw the universal principles that fuel mass mur
der into the here\nand the now\, without exploiting any gruesome images or
mining any personal\ntrauma.\n\nJoin us this evening to learn from them f
or the first time\, and talk with the\nartists and each other afterwards a
bout what you have experienced during the\nviewing.\n\nThe evening will co
nsist of the 12 scenes with the following titles:\n1. Genocide // 2. Winni
	ng Team // 3. Fear/Trust // 4. Good People // 5.\nOpportunity // 6. Techni
