	: Leather\, Dykes and\nSadomasochism (1995).\nDuring the early 1990s\, San
	 Francisco was the epicenter of body modification and\ngender nonconformit
	y. Transgender pioneers were fighting for visibility\, and a\nbold S/M com
	munity was carving out space on its own terms. BloodSisters was the\nfirst
	 film to represent this queer community on the fringes\, featuring the\npl
	ayers who started the current conversation on gender fluidity and radical\
	nsexuality. Shot on digital video from the inside of this scene\, BloodSis
	ters\ncaptures these queer outlaws in their zeitgeist moment with an unfil
