DESCRIPTION:PARASITE JAZZ (FR) + WALLY (US) + BHAJAN BHOY (NL/UK)\n\nA trip
le header of musical surprises that flies in the face of convention\, by\n
bringing together three stylistically different musical acts\, but united
by\ntheir originality and brilliance! So this is what we have on the OCCII
musical\nmenu:\n\nPARASITE JAZZ (Fr.)\nThe UK gets a lot of attention for
mutating the jazz continuum in interesting\nnew directions but we at OCCI
I currently transfixed by France’s gilet jaune\nwearing Parasite Jazz whos
e self titled debut LP is a hard hitting\,\nfreewheeling\, deviantly dubbe
d\, post punk\, krautrock\, jazz not jazz fusion that\nsimmers with discon
tent & righteous anger. The revolution will most definitely\nbe televised
and this gets our vote for the soundtrack.\n\n&lt\;a\nhref="https://disque

rasite Jazz&lt\;/a&gt\;\n\nWALLY (USA)\nThere I was tuned into WFMU on 10
January whilst making dinner\, and the most\ngorgeous songs filled with ri
ch harmonies came dancing out of my speakers. The\nband in question were A
merican band WALLY\, who performed 9 spellbinding numbers\non the show. To
my amazement\, during the interview with the band\, they informed\none an
d all that they had moved to The Netherlands. This will be their debut\nAm
sterdam show and one you cannot afford to miss! The blurb says its all :\n
“Wally works both infectious hooks\, and charming melodies into their song
	writing\nthat is both reminiscent of the 60’s neo-psychedelia movement\, a
nd emerging\njangle-pop aptitudes. The group promptly delivers on their sh
ared interest in\nartists like The Beach Boys\, Big Star\, and Neil Young
through acoustic guitars\,\nlayered harmonies\, horns\, and vibrant synth
patches which bring forth a\nrefreshing\, and unadorned contribution to th
	e music that came before them”.\n\nWFMU session : https://wfmu.org/archive

159928&archive=282046]\n\nBHAJAN BHOY (NL/UK)\nAjay Saggar has been making
music under the moniker BHAJAN BHOY since 2020\,\nreleasing eight albums
and touring around the globe. As a member of both Water\nDamage and CHELA\
, he appeared on 3 consecutive nights at Le Guess Who? festival\nin Novemb
er 2024\, and in November 2025\, he performed as BHAJAN BHOY...performing\
nhis “Summer In St. Mary’s” album for 500 transfixed listeners in the Spee
lklok\nMuseum. Bhajan Bhoy’s music ploughs a peak time psychedelic furrow\
; from lazy\ninterstellar ragas to lysergic electronic music\, mellow psyc
hedelic\nexperimentation and all sorts of kosmische mutations. He will rel
ease a new\nalbum titled “Meditations” on 17 April 2026 (Feeding Tube Reco
rds (USA) /\nCardinal Fuzz (UK).\n\nhttps://bhajanbhoy.bandcamp.com/ [http
	s://bhajanbhoy.bandcamp.com/]\n\nPresale/door prices adjusted: our events
are set up by volunteers in favour of\nsupporting DIY touring acts\, but i
t is getting ever more risky to plan and book\nevents – please support the
community and buy your tickets early! Presale closes\n18.00 on day of the
	 show.
