DESCRIPTION:Part Three: Making the Wave\n\nOTION returns to Felix Meritis w
ith the third part of W.A.V.E: Making the Wave\,\nan immersive performance
series exploring the invisible forces that connect\nsound\, body\, and sp
	ace. Through sound\, movement\, and ritual storytelling\, OTION\ntransform
s live music into a fully spatial experience\, where sound is not just\nhe
ard\, but physically felt.\n\nThe series unfolds in three chapters: Floati
ng on the WAVE\, Riding the WAVE\, and\nMaking the WAVE\, each offering a
distinct atmosphere within a continuous\njourney. Together with a sound ar
tist and dancer\, OTION activates three\nessential elements: space\, voice
\, and body\, guiding audiences along a path from\nlistening\, to embodime
	nt\, to creation\; from surrender\, to safety\, to play.\n\nBeginning with
vibration as sound moving through space\, shifting into vibration\nas sen
sation within the body and beyond\, W.A.V.E explores how stillness\,\npres
	ence\, sound\, voice\, song\, movement\, and dance shape both individual a
nd\ncollective experience. Join us on October 3rd and step into OTION’s in
ner\nlandscape\, where vibration becomes a shared language and performance
transforms\ninto a living field. After the performance\, join the After W
AVE to relax\, enjoy\ndrinks\, and dance to our live DJ. Whether or not yo
u joined the first wave\,\nyou’re welcome in the second.\n\n\nLINE-UP\n\nO
TION\n\nOTION (Guillermo Armand Blinker)- Theo d’Or (VSCD) and Amsterdam A
	rt Award (AFK)\nnominee (2024) Designer Award (VSCD) nominee 2025 – is a m
ultidisciplinary\nartist who works with vibration as material. Through sou
nd\, movement\, and ritual\nstorytelling\, OTION creates immersive experie
nces that attune bodies\, spaces\,\nand communities to one another.\n\nWat
er is both source and guide in OTION’s practice\, a living metaphor for\nc
ontinuity\, memory\, and transformation. Like water\, his work moves betwe
en\nstates: sonic\, physical\, spiritual. It flows through liminal spaces
where\nidentity softens\, time expands\, and new ways of being become poss
	ible.\n\nRooted in a background of choreography\, dance\, songwriting\, an
d composition\,\nOTION composes environments rather than performances. Har
monized\, loop-based\nvocals form dense soundscapes. These vibrating layer
	s carry the audience into\nceremonial states\, where movement\, breath\, a
nd listening become acts of\ncollective tuning.\n\nOTION’s poetic lyricism
weaves themes of transformation\, spiritual connection\,\nand a queer way
of sensing the world. His work does not aim to be consumed\, but\nentered
: a shared frequency where personal and collective healing can unfold.\n\n
	Lees meer\n\nSarada Sarita\n\nSarada Sarita is a pioneering\, trailblazing
and leading female figure in the\nDutch and International dance world. Du
e to her diverse background with a wide\nvariety and versatility in experi
ence and knowledge\, she studies and speaks the\nuniversal language of dan
ce with reverence and love. She is especially well\nversed in performing\,
	 theater\, composition\, improvisation / freestyle\, movement\ndirection a
nd is deeply rooted in the street and club dance scene and culture.\n\nSar
ita aka SaSa is specifically known for whacking & voguing\; studying and\n
bringing that to the Netherlands as one of the first\; in theater\, art sp
aces\,\nschools\, film as well as building whole new communities represent
ing the culture\nand dance worldwide. You can find her work as a performer
and choreographer on\nstages\, screens and events. As a teacher\, coach a
nd mentor you can find her at\ndance academies\, schools\, studio’s\, comp
anies and online worldwide.\n\nLees meer\n\nSHARC\n\nSHARC (Siem Schellevi
	s) is an artist director focusing on artist identity and\nart direction\,
and working at the intersection of body\, perception\, and meaning.\nHe wo
rks with art made in short arcs\, or as he calls it: SHARCS. His work does
\nnot aim to explain or persuade\, but to reorient experience.\n\nDrawing
from martial arts science\, ancient wisdom traditions\, philosophy and hip
\nhop\, he designs immersive services that allow the artist to speak direc
tly\nthrough and to the BODYMIND rather than the intellect.\n\nSHARC is kn
own for translating complex human mechanisms into simple\, felt\nexperienc
es. His direction is minimal\, precise\, and experiential. Less\nnarrative
	. More signal. His work spans across film\, music\, language\, spatial\nde
sign\, and embodied practice. SHARC invites artists to develop a healthy\n
distinction between the self they have and the spirit or soul that they ar
e\, so\nthey may create vacuums in spacetime where people can explore mean
ing\,\nfulfillment and connection.\n\nWorked with national and internation
al acts like The Child of LOV\, Cameron\nMcVey\, Illnoledge\, Alain Clark
and Khadijia El Kharraz-Alami\, among others.\n\nStillness is not an aesth
etic in his work. It is the medium. Stillness First.\n\nLees meer\n\n\nMOR
E ABOUT CHAPTER 3: W.A.V.E — MAKING THE WAVE\n\nMaking the Wave is the mom
ent of emergence and release. Here\, vibration is no\nlonger only perceive
d or followed. It is generated\, shaped\, and shared. Sound\,\nmovement\,
and collective energy converge into a field of creation where\nboundaries
between performer and participant dissolve. This chapter explores\nagency\
, transformation\, and the power of intentional frequency. Making the Wave
\nasks what happens when we recognize ourselves not just as receivers of\n
vibration\, but as sources of it\, co-creating the unseen spectrum that co
nnects\nus.\n\nWould you like to attend this program\, but don’t have the
means to pay for a\nticket? Send an email to info@felixmeritis.nl\, we can
work something out.\n\nNote: By booking this ticket\, you agree to potent
	ially be photographed during\nthe event.
