DESCRIPTION:Part Two: Riding The Wave\n\nOTION returns to Felix Meritis wit
h the second part of W.A.V.E: We All Vibrate\nEternally\, an immersive per
formance series exploring the invisible forces that\nconnect sound\, body\
	, and space. Through sound\, movement\, and ritual\nstorytelling\, OTION t
ransforms live music into a fully spatial experience\, where\nsound is not
just heard\, but physically felt.\n\nThe series unfolds in three chapters
: Floating on the WAVE\, Riding the WAVE\, and\nMaking the WAVE\, each off
ering a distinct atmosphere within a continuous\njourney. Together with a
sound artist and dancer\, OTION activates three\nessential elements: space
	\, voice\, and body\, guiding audiences along a path from\nlistening\, to
	embodiment\, to creation\; from surrender\, to safety\, to play.\n\nBeginn
ing with vibration as sound moving through space\, shifting into vibration
\nas sensation within the body and beyond\, W.A.V.E explores how stillness
	\,\npresence\, sound\, voice\, song\, movement\, and dance shape both indi
vidual and\ncollective experience. Join us on May 29th and step into OTION
’s inner\nlandscape\, where vibration becomes a shared language and perfor
mance transforms\ninto a living field. After the performance\, join the Af
ter WAVE to relax\, enjoy\ndrinks\, and dance to our live DJ. Whether or n
ot you joined the first wave\,\nyou’re welcome in the second.\n\n\nLINE-UP
\n\nOTION\nOTION (Guillermo Armand Blinker)- Theo d’Or (VSCD) and Amsterda
	m Art Award (AFK)\nnominee (2024) Designer Award (VSCD) nominee 2025 – is
a multidisciplinary\nartist who works with vibration as material. Through
sound\, movement\, and ritual\nstorytelling\, OTION creates immersive expe
riences that attune bodies\, spaces\,\nand communities to one another.\n\n
Water is both source and guide in OTION’s practice\, a living metaphor for
\ncontinuity\, memory\, and transformation. Like water\, his work moves be
tween\nstates: sonic\, physical\, spiritual. It flows through liminal spac
es where\nidentity softens\, time expands\, and new ways of being become p
	ossible.\n\nRooted in a background of choreography\, dance\, songwriting\,
and composition\,\nOTION composes environments rather than performances.
Harmonized\, loop-based\nvocals form dense soundscapes. These vibrating la
	yers carry the audience into\nceremonial states\, where movement\, breath\
, and listening become acts of\ncollective tuning.\n\nOTION’s poetic lyric
ism weaves themes of transformation\, spiritual connection\,\nand a queer
way of sensing the world. His work does not aim to be consumed\, but\nente
red: a shared frequency where personal and collective healing can unfold.\
	n\nLees meer\n\nJordan Achiano\nJordan Achiano is a multidisciplinary arti
st whose work spanning dance\,\nphotography\, film\, and performance serve
s as an exploration into the human\nessence. His practice is rooted in end
less conversation with the self\,\nnavigating the specific complexities of
	 a Surinamese identity within a Western\nlandscape.\n\nEverything Jordan c
reates begins with S.S.M.A. (Sacred Sexual Movement Alchemy)\,\na personal
ritual used to tap into a deep\, creative reservoir. By honoring the\n“in
	ternal feminine\,” he accesses a bridge to a raw\, ancient power\, allowin
g\nancestral codes to surface as snippets of insight within his modern mov
ements\nand visuals.\n\nJordan’s aesthetic is a deliberate fusion of the o
ld and the new\; a bridge\nbetween heritage and the future. Through the ma
stery of light\, shadow\, and form\,\nhe constructs “sacred spaces” that i
nvite the viewer into a state of profound\nclarity.\n\nUltimately\, Jordan
aims to move beyond the superficial constraints of the modern\nworld. He
doesn’t just want you to observe his work\; he seeks a deeper\nunderstandi
ng of himself through the act of creation\, inviting the audience to\nconn
ect with their own souls instead of their time. He leaves you with a feeli
ng\nthat only you can define.\n\nLees meer\n\nSHARC\nSHARC (Siem Schellevi
	s) is an artist director focusing on artist identity and\nart direction\,
and working at the intersection of body\, perception\, and meaning.\nHe wo
rks with art made in short arcs\, or as he calls it: SHARCS. His work does
\nnot aim to explain or persuade\, but to reorient experience.\n\nDrawing
from martial arts science\, ancient wisdom traditions\, philosophy and hip
\nhop\, he designs immersive services that allow the artist to speak direc
tly\nthrough and to the BODYMIND rather than the intellect.\n\nSHARC is kn
own for translating complex human mechanisms into simple\, felt\nexperienc
es. His direction is minimal\, precise\, and experiential. Less\nnarrative
	. More signal. His work spans across film\, music\, language\, spatial\nde
sign\, and embodied practice. SHARC invites artists to develop a healthy\n
distinction between the self they have and the spirit or soul that they ar
e\, so\nthey may create vacuums in spacetime where people can explore mean
ing\,\nfulfillment and connection.\n\nWorked with national and internation
al acts like The Child of LOV\, Cameron\nMcVey\, Illnoledge\, Alain Clark
and Khadijia El Kharraz-Alami\, among others.\n\nStillness is not an aesth
etic in his work. It is the medium. Stillness First.\n\nLees meer\n\nLucas
Benjamin (DJ for the after W.A.V.E)\n\n\nLucas Benjamin is an Amsterdam-b
ased DJ\, promoter and true musicologist. He’s\nbeen traveling across the
globe for the past 20 years\, first competing in dance\nbattles and then a
s a DJ. Lucas started his own record label in 2017 called\nWicked Wax\, co
-founded a music platform named Steppin’ Into Tomorrow\, is part of\nthe i
nfamous Ghetto Funk Collective\, and organized plenty of club nights\, liv
e\nconcerts\, documentary screenings & gives music lectures and DJ classes
. In\nshort\, a person living music in its totality.\n\n\nMORE ABOUT CHAPT
ER 2: W.A.V.E — RIDING THE WAVE\n\nRiding the Wave is immersion. Where “Fl
oating On The Wave” invited stillness\,\nthis chapter enters motion as res
ponse\, as rhythm\, as lived time. Participants\nare invited to feel how v
ibration organizes experience from within\, how the body\nbegins to mark\,
stretch\, and become time itself. Here\, the body is centered as a\nvesse
	l and spaceship. A fleshy\, messy\, mysterious architecture through which\
nfrequency is generated\, shaped\, and received.\nRhythm becomes a way of
navigating\, creating the wave and the frequency band\nthrough which reali
ty is sensed and made. Sound and body meet in an intimate\nexchange\, a co
ntinuous dialogue between the tactile and the ethereal\, where each\nmovem
ent gives form to the invisible.\nThis second part\, ‘Riding the Wave’ exp
lores the balance between control and\nsurrender\, revealing both the limi
ts and freedoms of inhabiting the body as an\ninstrument. It asks: what ha
ppens when we not only follow rhythm\, but become the\nshifting currents d
ancing in the endless oscillation between matter and\nvibration?\n\nWould
you like to attend this program\, but don’t have the means to pay for a\nt
icket? Send an email to info@felixmeritis.nl\, we can work something out.\
