	ogether\, the works in the exhibition attend to soil\, seed\, water\,\nfer
	mentation\, and ruin as sites where care and violence are entangled—holdin
	g\nstories of repair\, dispossession\, and continuity.\n\nGalalaLive will 
	be performing Ya Quddus\, which takes the form of a mantra or\nprayer inte
	nded to offer resilience in challenging times. The performance will\nfeatu
	re improvisation in sound and music\, drawing inspiration from Egyptian\nS
	ufi zikr and Coptic chants\, particularly as experienced\nduring mawlid ce
	lebrations\, where rhythmic trance and collective devotion emerge\nthrough
	 breathing\, repetition\, and poetry.\n\nGalalaLive is a dynamic sound col
	lective founded in 2019 by Abdo Zin Eldin\, a\nCairo- and Amsterdam-based 
	multidisciplinary artist and Rijksakademie resident.\nIts fluid membership
	 shifts in relation to each performance and context\, making\neach iterati
	on distinct. The collective engages with sonic practices from\ncommunities
	 in Egypt that are increasingly at risk of erasure—such as Sufi\nfestivals
	 (mawālid)\, popular weddings\, processions\, and raves—re-articulating\nt
	hem through collaboration with international musicians and sound artists. 
	Their\nwork explores ritual\, memory\, and improvisation\, positioning col
	lective\nlistening as a shared and potentially transcendent experience. Th
	ey have\npresented work in venues and museums across Egypt and the Netherl
