	seventh edition of\nour outdoor film festival\, featuring not only Oscar-n
	ominated features and local\neye-opening shorts\, but also music\, food an
	d performance\, making for a truly\nspecial experience.  Once again\, we w
	ill try to spotlight some of the diversity\nthat makes up Cavia’s many ide
	ntities\, celebrating a year of incredible moments\nfor our small cinema.

	resents:\nA TALE OF A DIFFERENT CITY \n\n\nThe first collaboration between
	 Moons of Cavia and the Greek Film Festival in\nthe Netherlands is here! G
	RFFNL [https://www.grffnl.nl/] started in 2026 at\nFilmhuis Cavia and was 
	warmly welcomed by audiences in the Netherlands. Whether\nthey were Greek 
	people living in the Netherlands who rarely had access to newer\nGreek fil
	ms\, or Dutch cinephiles eager to explore a new cinematic experience\,\nfi
	lms screened during the first edition of GRFFNL attracted large crowds and
	\ncontinue to demonstrate why Greek cinema deserves to be recognized as a\
	nsignificant force in contemporary film.\n\nThe festival took place in May
	\, but there are monthly screenings of Greek films\nthat take place in Fil
	mhuis Cavia throughout the year. To kick off this season\,\nwe are screeni
	ng Social Decay\, a radical silent film about the political and\nethical c
	rises in Athens during the turbulent period between the two World\nWars. \
	n\nThe screening of Social Decay will be accompanied by a live original sc
	ore\,\ncomposed and performed by acclaimed Greek film composer Dimitra Ale
	xiou\, created\nespecially for this occasion. \n\nYou're welcome to join u
	s beforehand for a tavli ‘workshop’ —a playful\nintroduction to one of Gre
	ece's most beloved board games—along with some Greek\nsnacks. After the sc
	reening\, stay for drinks and a hangout in the upstairs\ncinema space\, wh

	les\n\nDinos is a poor university student. Due to a lack of money\, he dro
	ps out of his\nstudies and goes looking for a job. He finds work as an act
	or with a theater\ncompany and falls in love with the lead actress. After 
	she leaves the theater in\nsearch of greater success\, Dinos also quits an
	d ends up among the poor workers.\nThrough this\, he discovers the exploit
	ation that workers must endure and starts\na union to fight for social jus
	tice.\n \n\nDIMITRA ALEXIOU\n\nDimitra Alexiou is a film composer\, born i
	n Greece and now based in the\nNetherlands. She has been working in film f
	or the past few years\, having already\nseveral credits for her work in sh
	ort films\, both in Greece and the Netherlands.\nWhen she is working on a 
	film she always finds the message and style of the\nfilm\, so as to suppor
	t it with the best musical style possible. She has\nexperimented with many
	 genres (social drama\, drama\, horror) and many forms of\nfilms\, such as
	 documentaries\, fiction films\, animation films. Her style is\ndiverse\, 
	combining a hybrid texture of electronic and acoustic elements to\nprovide
