DESCRIPTION:Maison Avant Après is a new project that opens up a space for l
iterature on\nfashion. This evening\, Maison Avant Après presents its debu
t collection Haute\nÉcriture. This also marks Perdu’s season finale and co
ntinues into the early\nhours.\n\nOn 26 June Maison Avant Après presents t
heir first collection Haute Écriture.\nThe écrituriers of service turn the
ir fascination for fashion into strange and\ndazzling pieces full of parad
oxes. The practitioner of haute écriture spends\nyears gathering enough im
pressions and spends hundreds of hours on the tiniest\ndetails. The pieces
on show are made using complex techniques and paradoxical\nfeelings. We s
ee how fashion dictates strict laws and conceals oppression\, but\nalso of
fers possibilities to escape corsets and straightjackets.\n\nDuring the pr
esentation\, the Maison proudly shows the result of this labour\,\nhoping
to form an artistic avant-garde together with the audience rather than a\n
flock of passive fashion victims. There is no doubt that fashion has the p
ower\nto mobilise the masses\, but can the continuous metamorphosis on the
	 catwalk\nbring about real\, substantial change?\n\nAfterwards\, the show
continues on the dance floor for the festive closure of\nPerdu’s cultural
season with music\, drinks\, and aesthetic excess into the night.\n\nHurry
to the front row!\n\n***TICKETS AVAILABLE SOON***\n\nA programme by Perdu
x Maison Avant Après\nHost: Oliver Taylor\nLanguage: EN/NL (during the Du
tch parts\, English translations are shown)\nDress code: Overdressed\n\nDe
wi de Nijs Bik relates to the Radical Call for Love collection of fashion\
ndesigner Marine Serre\, who took the fashion world by storm a decade ago
in the\naftermath of the attacks in Paris and Brussels. What remains of th
is mobilizing\nenergy in 2026? And how do these remnants inscribe themselv
es into history? This\nnew poetry work will be presented by literary top m
odel Marieke Ornelis\, herself\na writer and dramaturge.\n\nTim Fraanje pr
ovides a fashion commentary to Alessandro Michele’s debut-couture\nshow Va
lentino Vertigineux (2025)\, of which a rich selection of video fragments\
nis shown. What can this exorbitant parade teach us about abundance and ex
cess?\nLuuk Dolfijn joins on the drums.\n\nRomy Day Winkel en Hanka van de
r Voet honour Amsterdam’s 19th-century\nseamstresses who formed the first
all-female union of the Netherlands\, De\nNaaistersbond. They perform a re
	ading of poems\, short stories and call-outs from\nthe union’s newspaper D
e Naaistersbode\, to highlight the radicality of the\nseamstresses.\n\nrah
man QUL presents his new poetry\, turning metropolitan Paris – global fash
ion\ncapital – into an echo chamber for post-Soviet experiences and the st
ories of\nmarginalized communities that have ended up in Limburg. He shows
how people with\nlimited means use fashion to shape their desire for a lu
xurious\, post-capitalist\nworld.\n\nRainer Diana Hamilton and Violet Spur
lock are the writers of the text What does\nit mean to be well-dressed? in
which they explore the idea of fashion as a\ncollective dialogue. In thei
r absence\, the audience will perform this polyphonic\nconversation.\n\nPa
rty line-up:\n\nTim Fraanje and Luuk Dolfijn go on stage for a second time
as music duo Big\nHare. They give a demonstration of Solarcore\, a dancea
ble method to manifest a\nmagnificent\, solar powered future. The performa
nce includes a display of\nfuturistic solarcore costumes made by designer
Jonathan Ho.\n\nTonight Dj V von Willendorf\, dj alterego of poet Anne Mar
ijn Voorhorst\, crosses\nas many musical regions and genres as possible –
	from van baile funk\, kuduro and\nlatin core to grime\, dancehall\, acid h
	ouse and contemporary trance.
