	 these questions\nmobilizing an array of tools such as anti-discrimination
	 rules\, affirmative\naction\, or diversity and inclusion policies within 
	institutions. At the same\ntime “diversity and inclusion” agendas have nev
	er been free from critics\,\nincluding from those from equality movements\
	, who support these principles and\ntheir transformative potential. For so
	me\, the law itself leaves many deep\ninequalities intact\, for others\, d
	iversity became something of an institutional\nperformance failing to trul
	y tackle issues of resource and power distribution\nalong gender\, race\, 
	ethnicity\, class – to name a few.\n\nThis conversation reflects on what d
	iversity and inclusion may mean in this\ncontext\, bringing together persp
	ectives from law\, feminist and critical theory\,\nand education\, and com
	paring developments across Europe and the United States.
