bout SAC Art Amsterdam:\nSAC Art Amsterdam is the only dedicated platform
for South Asian contemporary\nart in the Netherlands\, amplifying lesser-h
eard voices and bringing South Asia\ninto global conversations through exh
ibitions and programming.\n\nAbout Mama Magnet:\nMama Magnet is a nomadic
curatorial unit founded in 2020\, working across Asia\nand Europe to produ
ce playful art experiences that take shape as undisciplined\noutputs: exhi
	bitions\, installations\, radio shows\, parties and online\nexperiences.\n
\nAbout the event:\n\nUnited under the spirit of D-I-Y (do it yourself) an
d improvisation\, the fair\nbrings together newly received works carefully
selected from an open call\,\nalongside archives from both SAC Art Amster
dam and Mama Magnet. Expect\nindependent artist zines\, books\, prints and
other small formats from 20\ninternational established and emerging artis
ts.\n\nJugaad is more than a word. It's an act of being\, doing and surviv
ing that South\nAsians grow up with. Today\, the word sits in the Oxford E
nglish Dictionary and\nis recognised far beyond its Punjabi and Sanskrit o
rigins\, naming an everyday\nintelligence of getting by and getting it don
e.\n\nThe programme traces how jugaadi thinking has travelled beyond South
	 Asia\, into\nother cultures\, reflexes and languages\, reimagining what i
t can mean and where\nit can go. It honours surprising and humorous instan
ces of resourcefulness\,\nadaptation and winging it.\n\nJoin us on Friday
	9 October (16:00–20:00) or Saturday 10 October (12:00–20:00).\nRegistratio
	n encouraged via https://luma.com/85ly0j2g\n[https://luma.com/85ly0j2g]. \
n\nJUGAAD: Absolute Improvisation is initiated and co-curated by Mama Magn
	et and\nSAC Art Amsterdam.
