SUMMARY:Inhabit the Wor(l)ds: Embodying the Text
DTSTAMP:20260531T185121Z
DTSTART:20260611T120000Z
DESCRIPTION:Inhabit the Wor(l)ds: Embodying the Text\nYou have learned it.
You know it by heart. Now — what if we went beyond the\neffort of remember
ing and let ourselves inhabit the words?\n\nThis three-hour workshop explo
	res what happens when a memorised text — a poem\, a\nshort tale\, a fragme
nt of a song carried in the body for years — is freed from\nthe effort of
retrieval. When we stop pulling the words out of memory and begin\nto let
them move through us\, something shifts: the body becomes the container of
\nimagination\, the words become the navigation tools.\n\nWe meet to work
on our presence\, practising to be here and now through physical\ntheatre
training.\n\nParticipants bring a short text they know by heart — no page\
, no prompt — and\nare guided through a series of exercises that gradually
open up the infinite\npossibilities of inhabiting the words and the world
s that come alive with them.\n\nThe key is to arrive with a text so well l
earned that memory is no longer an\neffort — so that we can discover the l
iveliness of the words through embodied\npractice.\n\nThe workshop is open
to all levels. You do not need a performance background —\nonly a text th
at means something to you\, learned well enough to say without\nreading it
.\n\nWe work individually and together\, in a playful and generous atmosph
ere\, with a\nshort break in the middle.\n\nDuration: 3 hours (with short
break) · Bring a short memorised text (poem or\ntale) · Open to all levels
	 · Wear comfortable clothing · Min. 4 / Max. 8\nparticipants\n\nFacilitato
	r: Geraldine L Guerrero [@serexpresion] has an extensive artistic\npractic
e bridging experiences between Latin America and Europe. Her work exists\n
at the intersection of political theatre\, socially explorative performanc
	e\, and\nartistic practice-based research — investigating how the exercise
of artistic\nfreedom of expression can foster critical hope and social re
lief.\nAt the heart of her practice is the voice: not only as an instrumen
t\, but as an\nact of presence. Geraldine guides performers and non-perfor
mers alike in\nfinding\, training\, and daring to expose their own voice —
understanding it as\none of the most intimate and most political tool we
	carry\nSuggested donation: 10eur\n\nAstaroTheatro\nSint Jansstraat 37 Amst
