Cartopol is an Amsterdam-based composer, producer and DJ from Lima, P erú. In his work he fuses influences from contemporary classical music and underground experimental practice, developing a unique approach to compos ition and mixing through years of work in the fields of experimental theat re and dance. He has presented work in a wide range of spaces from beloved clubs like Garage Noord to prestigious contemporary venues such as Muziek gebouw aan’t IJ. Together with composer and producer Opus Occvltiis he run s Anekumena Tapes, an eclectic record label dedicated to exploring the gre y areas between club music and experimental sound-art, showcasing projects from Amsterdam and beyond.
Lenny channels his love for dancefloor hist ories and folkloric imagination to conjure a lively style.
