	ends and\nanother begins: West African rhythms weave their way through ele
	ctronica\, funk\,\ndisco and post-punk. The eight-piece band was formed in
	 London in 2013 around\nthe British-Nigerian frontwoman Eno Williams and p
	roducer and saxophonist Max\nGrunhard. Behind them\, synthesisers\, brass\
	, drums and bouncy basslines ensure\nthat standing still soon becomes diff
	icult.\n\nIbibio Sound Machine now have five albums to their name and have
	 become a\nfixture across international stages. The band have performed at
	 festivals such\nas Glastonbury\, Green Man and Rock En Seine\, and played
	 at Wembley Stadium as\nthe support act for Coldplay.\n\nAfter more than t
	en years\, Ibibio Sound Machine still sound just as curious and\nuninhibit
	ed as ever. Their sixth album\, ‘Chopping Mountain’\, is due for release\n
	on 11 September via Merge Records.
