	ge centres on a familiar journey: the road trip from the Netherlands\nto M
	orocco\, an annual ritual for many Moroccan-Dutch people. With the trunk (
	and\nsometimes the roof too) fully loaded\, a multi-day journey begins in 
	which ‘home’\nin the Netherlands gives way to ‘home’ in Morocco.\n\nThe fi
	lm portrays this journey in an emotional\, nostalgic and also humorous way
	.\nAlong the way\, the travellers laugh\, debate\, eat\, sing and create n
	ew memories.\nWhat appears to be an ordinary holiday trip actually symboli
	ses living between\ntwo different places\, which can both feel like home.\
	n\nThe success of Porte Bagage has shown how this summer holiday has becom
	e part of\na shared experience amongst Moroccan-Dutch people. The film tou
	ches on questions\nof family\, memory\, identity\, living between differen
	t worlds and choosing one’s\nown destiny.\n\n\nSYNOPSIS\n\nNoor (30) looks
	 after her stubborn father Musa (76)\, who suffers from dementia.\nWhen of
	fered her dream job as a chef in Paris\, she is left to choose between her
	\ncareer and her family.\n\nTo make the severity of their father’s conditi
	on clear to her brothers and\nsister\, Noor arranges an appointment with a
	 neurologist. Following the death of\na close friend\, Musa expresses his 
	wish to return to Morocco. Initially\nreluctant\, Noor begins to see this 
	as her way out – helping her father return to\nhis homeland whilst finally
	 pursuing her own dreams of independence.\n\nDespite resistance from her b
	rother Farid\, she manages to persuade her brothers\nto join her on a road
	 trip\, during which they come to terms with their past and\ntheir uncerta
