DESCRIPTION:New wave of homegrown female punk bands\n\nGirls to the Front i
	s an Utrecht based initiative which focuses on the Dutch\nbased FLINTA rep
	resentation within the punk music industry. It started as an\nevent on the
	 8th of march in dB’s by Bibi Fay Bannink\, an 18 year old feminist\npunk 
	fan with a plan. Which grew out to a compilation vinyl with 14 FLINTA\nfro
	nted punk bands\, called Girls to the Front. Which was released on the 8th
	 of\nmarch 2025 in EKKO\, and was followed by a tour throughout the Nether
	lands.\nIncluding Paradiso\, VERA Groningen\, Rotown\, Wilde Weide and Dow
	n the Rabbit Hole\nDj-set. 2026 will bring another compilation vinyl\, ano
	ther tour and a continued\nfight.\n\nGirls to the Front doesn’t only celeb
	rate the various ‘punk’ sounds created by\nFLINTA people that are alive an
	d loud in the country\, but also wants to dive in\nthe intersectional stru
	ggles and inspirations people experience through the\nmaking of zines or t
	hrough organizing more interdisciplinary events with poetry\,\nfilm talks 
	and panels.\n\nGirls to the Front hopes to work towards a community of FLI
	NTA people who can\nmosh together without constantly having to be cautious
	 of the male dominance in\nspaces like this and take inspiration from the 
	Riot Grrrl movement with modern\nimplications and struggles. Most importan
	tly we want all the FLINTA people to\nthe front and we want them to collec
	tively scream en mosh together and celebrate\ntheir identities through pun
