	afting intimate\, story-driven films\nwith a distinct visual and emotional
	 voice. With a background in acting\, she\ndraws out nuanced\, authentic p
	erformances and builds deep connections with her\ncast. In 2023\, she debu
	ted at the Netherlands Film Festival with Iskander\, a\n15-minute sci-fi d
	rama she wrote and directed\, blending a groovy ’70s aesthetic\nwith subtl
	e elements of enchantment.\n\nStefanie Kolk is a Dutch filmmaker drawn to 
	the unspoken dynamics of human\nconnection—closeness\, distance\, and trus
	t. Her short films Clan\, Harbour\, and\nEyes on the Road premiered at Loc
	arno. Her feature debut MELK\, co-written with\nNena van Driel\, premiered
	 at Venice’s Giornate degli Autori\, winning Best Film\nat Crossing Europe
	\, earned four Golden Calf nominations\, and was named Best\nDutch Film of
