proach to\nspending time where every minute\, and even second\, counts. Vo
calist Claire Adams\nwill perform a five-course vocal composition paired w

t]\n\nEAT is a performance series initiated in 2023 by Tomoko Mukaiyama. I
t explores\nthe rituals of morning practices and the subtle interplay betw
een cultural\nhabits and natural forces that shape them.\n\nEach edition o
f EAT delves into the material and sensory dimensions of our daily\nbeginn
ings. For this iteration\, we welcome food artist Asli Hatipoğlu and\nvoca
list Claire Adams on board the Alhadj Djumaa — an Egyptian fishing boat th
at\ncrossed the Mediterranean on July 25\, 2013\, carrying 282 refugees be
fore being\nseized by the Italian coast guard. Today it sails Amsterdam's
canals with\nRederij Lampedusa. Physically taking place within the histori
c canals of\nAmsterdam\, this breakfast experience centers around water as
a vital element\nthat connects all things. It asks participants to reflec
t on water's constant\nflow\, its shifting presence\, and the way it mirro
rs the realities of climate\nmigration.\n\nOver the course of a 50-minute
	journey\, the meal becomes a collective ritual\, a\nmeditation\, and a sha
red moment. EAT unfolds as a multi-course performance\nfeaturing ingredien
ts\, fermentations\, and plants that trace the history of trade\nand the D
utch relationship with spices. Accompanied by live vocal compositions\nfro
m early female creators\, the narrative combines storytelling and music to
\nhighlight the shared humanness within our diverse stories. A meditative
gateway\ninto the day\, EAT invites us to tune into the body\, to sound\,
to taste\, and to\nthe fluid landscapes we inhabit\n\nEnlarge\n[https://ww
