siness with a\ndeep love for flowers. During this workshop\, you’ll learn
the basics of\narranging a bouquet. Then you’ll get to work on your own. Y
ou’ll take your own\ncreation home with you.\n\nThe workshop is organized
by 't Lieverdje Florists and led by Tijmen IJsendijk\,\nwho is also presen
ting his work in the wooden cabinet.\n\nTijmen IJsendijk (1993) is a golds
mith\, woodworker\, and artist. In his work\, he\nexplores the significanc
e of craftsmanship as a cultural practice in which\nmaterials\, history\,
and craftsmanship converge in contemporary objects. After\ngraduating from
the Unstable Media program at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy\n(2023)\, IJsen
dijk developed his practice as a goldsmith\, building on his\nbackground i
n woodworking and his training under master goldsmith Jan de Vries.\nTijme
n works from his studio in the Vrij Paleis.\n\nFor Creative Grounds\, Tijm
en draws inspiration from Baroque pearl jewelry. The\nirregular shapes of
the pearl serve as the starting point for a new piece of\njewelry\, in whi
ch he explores how a natural\, abstract form is imbued with\nmeaning by hu
	mans. From Friday\, September 18\, through Sunday\, September 20\, his\nwo
rk will be on display in the wooden cabinet on the ground floor.\n\nThis e
	vent is part of:\n\nCreative Grounds\n\nFrom Friday\, September 18\, throu
gh Sunday\, September 20\, the Amsterdam Museum is\nhosting the first edit
ion of Creative Grounds. For three days\, Amsterdam’s city\ncenter will be
all about craftsmanship. At various locations\, you can watch\ncreators a
t work\, have the opportunity to make something yourself\, and learn\nabou
	t the stories\, techniques\, and traditions behind craftsmanship\, handicr
afts\,\nand artisanal skills.\n\nFrom making zines to brewing beer\, from
glassblowing to goldsmithing\, and from\npastry making to furniture making
: a variety of creative artists will\ndemonstrate what it takes to create
with your hands\, mind\, and imagination.
