DESCRIPTION:Caribbean Creativity and Africadelic present the 3rd edition of
	 CineCarib in our\nCinema!\n\nThis time we focus on the issue of beach acc
	ess in the Caribbean\, and the\nquestion ‘who actually benefits from touri
	sm in the region?’ To this end\, we\npresent a special preview screening o
	f Beach Inna Bondage: The Fight for\nJamaica's Coastline (2026\, 30')\, a 
	new documentary by Dutch filmmaking duo Emiel\nMartens and Elsie Vermeer i
	n collaboration with the Jamaica Beach Birthright\nEnvironmental Movement 
	(JaBBEM) and recent Grammy-winning reggae artiste\nKeznamdi.\n\nIn additio
	n\, we will be screening Aqui Vive Gente (2022\, 23'\, People Live Here)\,
	\na short documentary by Bianca Graulau\, made in collaboration with Bad B
	unny\,\nexploring gentrification\, rising housing prices\, and decreasing 
	beach access in\nPuerto Rico.\n\nFollowing the screening of both films\, t
	here will be a discussion on\nincreasingly limited beach access as a resul
	t of privatization and\ntouristification in Jamaica and across the wider C
	aribbean\, including in Curacao\nand Aruba. The discussion will bring toge
	ther the filmmakers\, who have just\nreturned from a year of filmmaking in
	 Jamaica\, several other panelists\, and the\naudience to explore how thes
	e unequal\, unjust\, and unsustainable developments\nare reshaping access 
	to coastlines (and other lands) throughout the Caribbean –\nand what to do
	 about it.\n\nMelkweg often hosts different types of programmes at the sam
