#3: MATES & MASCara\n\nHot GLAM! Plein Theater and Lesbique are hosting a
series of Drag Nights! For\nthis third edition we are superexcited to ann
ounce to collaborate with MATES &\nMASCara - a monthly celebration of drag
	 kings\, things\, creatures\, and all forms\nof gender-bending expressions
.\n\nThe team of MATES & MASCara consists of Alfa Hoer\, Phallic Patrick a
nd Mannish\nPixel. Special for Bring Drag Back to the Theatre they create
a performance\,\nblending drag and theatre.\n\nThe performance weaves toge
	ther the fates of four Amsterdam me\, each entangled\nin a city-specific m
ystery that left them indebted\, who collide at a casino\ntable\, gambling
for the 10\,000 Euro lifeline that could free them. Through the\nsymbolic
language of cards and a dynamic map of Amsterdam\, their backstories and\
nhigh-stakes game unfold\, revealing both the city’s hidden layers and the
	\nunpredictable hand of fate.\n\n\nABOUT THE ARTISTS\n\nAlfa Hoer (they/th
em) is a Latinx performer and organizer working across drag\,\nBDSM\, sati
re\, and queer intimacy. They create worlds where shame\, desire\, and\nab
surdity collide. As part of the core team of MATES&MASCara and The Artist\
nCircle Amsterdam\, and initiator of BOTTOMsUP and BUB\, they build spaces
for\ncollective joy and political tenderness led by FLINTA people.\n\nThe
ir work pushes the boundaries of care and collapse\, with a moustache as a
rmor\nand mess as ritual. Rooted in Amsterdam’s underground scene\, their
work grows\nfrom the communities that hold and inspire them.\n\nPhallic Pa
trick: A satire of masculinity at its most pumped-up and pathetic.\nThink
	CEO ego\, fuckboi charm\, gabber energy\, and bromance gone too far.\nHe e
xposes the absurdity of the phallic by pushing it to its sweaty\, homoerot
ic\nlimits—where macho turns messy and the closet door starts to creak.\n\
nMannish Pixel is an Amsterdam-based 'dragtivist" and drag king\, known as
the\n'glam daddy' of the House of Extinction. Combining drag with climate
activism\nand using sustainable fashion to highlight diversity within the
climate\nmovement\, he focuses on theatrical and visual performances rela
ted to\nenvironmental issues.\n\n\nABOUT BRING DRAG BACK TO THE THEATRE\n\
nBring Drag Back to the Theatre is a bold and extravagant homage to DRAG i
	n all\nits glittering glory. DRAG is not just a trend\, it's a lavish\, re
bellious art\nform with centuries of history. Born in the theatre\, drag e
merged at a time when\nwomen were forbidden to step on stage\, and men too
k on female roles\, bending\ngender long before it was cool.\n\nBeyond the
velvet curtains\, drag has always ruled the night. It shaped\nnightlife\,
fueled creative revolutions across the globe\, and stood courageously\non
the front lines of LGBTIQ+ emancipation — then and now.\n\nThis dazzling
series of drag evenings at Plein Theatre is an ode to the art of\ndrag in
all its forms. Expect iconic history\, bold storytelling\, and a glorious\
nspectrum of drag artistry as the most fabulous Queens\, Kings\, and fluid
drag\npersonas command the stage.\n\nJoin us on a journey where we bring
drag back to the theatre — where it belongs\n— and celebrate\, admire\, an
	d revel in its power\, beauty\, and unapologetic\nfabulousness.
