Their response was unequivocally negative to everything we\nproposed\, le aving absolutely no room for discussion.\n\nFrom our side\, it was made cl ear that the existing working conditions were\nbecoming exhausting. Manage ment arbitrarily interpreted this as a resignation.\nThe very next day\, t hey refused to allow us to work and ultimately proceeded\nwith our dismiss al.\n\nThis development was certainly not an isolated incident. Rather\, i t was the\nresult of a prolonged dispute with management\, fueled by a ser ies of demands and\nclaims we had been raising over the preceding months\, as well as by our decision\nto adopt a more formal and assertive stance t oward management in the workplace.\n\nAs a result\, we initiated a labor s truggle through the SSM\, with the aim of\nsecuring our immediate reinstat ement and claiming the financial compensation to\nwhich we were entitled. Within a short period of time\, an intervention took\nplace at the establi shment\, followed by a favorable decision in our case by the\nLabor Inspec torate (SEPE). Last October\, a Civil Court also ruled in favor of\nthe in validity of our dismissals.\n\nIn the meantime\, the business\, which oper ated as an IKE — a Greek private\ncompany structure — closed down\, citing bankruptcy as the reason.
