DESCRIPTION:Every year\, a group of passionate student volunteers organize 
	and produce the\nAmsterdam Student Film Festival (AmsFF) to provide visibi
	lity for aspiring\nartists and\, in the process\, foster a community of yo
	ung people across Amsterdam\nwho are passionate about film.\n\nAmsFF began
	 in 2022 when six Amsterdam University College students recognized an\nabs
	ence of platforms for student work and decided to create one from the grou
	nd\nup\, with virtually no funding or formal structure. Now\, three years 
	later\, the\nfestival is independent from academic institutions and is com
	posed of an even\nlarger team of volunteers from a variety of academic and
	 professional\nbackgrounds\, all excited to create the most ambitious edit
	ion of AmsFF yet.\n\nThe festival will take place May 29th to 31st across 
	five independent Amsterdam\nvenues: FC Hyena\, De Uitkijk\, Het Documentai
	re Paviljoen\, LAB111 and Droog. As\nin previous years\, a jury of diverse
	 film industry professionals will work to\nscreen the short films and prov
	ide feedback for the filmmakers. Audience members\nwill also be able to in
	teract with the filmmakers at select screenings.\n\nWelcome to the opening
	 Night of Amsterdam Student Film Festival 2026!!\n\nFarewell to The Moving
	 Clocks\nThe dismantlement of the empty homogenous time gives way to the p
	roliferation of\nmultiple temporalities — a cinema that refuses to conform
	 and converge. Eight\nfilms present different strategies of intervening th
	e dominant mode of time\, be\nit absurdist theatricality\, formalistic exp
	erimentation\, essayistic narration\,\nor DIY intermedial montage. At the 
	edge of form and intelligibility burst a\nshock to thought\, to bid Farewe
	ll to The Moving Clocks and look forward to a\nworld beyond this time.\n\n
