	 the story of the\nextraordinary duo Amadou & Mariam as they work on their
	 final album and perform\na unique concert in their homeland\, Mali\, whic
	h is torn apart by internal\ntensions. Since the 1980s\, they have reached
	 millions of people around the world\nand have become the face of modern W
	est African music. With the final album\nrecorded before Amadou’s death in
	 April 2025\, they hope to bring people together\nand inspire them. The al
	bum ‘L’Amour À La Folie’ was released posthumously last\nOctober\, and in 
	March Mariam gave a moving concert at our Max venue. A beautiful\nstory ab
	out resilience and the power of music.\n\nMelkweg often hosts different ty
	pes of programmes at the same time\, such as\nconcerts\, club nights and f
